Palliser Ridge Romney Lambswool Double Knit - 8ply 100% local wool from Wairarapa

Due to popular demand here it is... a local DK weight wool. Grown in the Wairarapa by our friends at Ralliser Ridge Station, processed in Napier and the Hutt Valley before being hand dyed by James back in Wairarapa.

This colourway is called 'Coast to Coast' which is the name of a thrilling multi-sport event held each year in New Zealand which sees participants traverse the width of the South Island. When it comes to multi-sport events James is most definitely not a participant. ;)

Composition - 100% wool
Thickness - 8 ply, Double Knit / Light Worsted
Length - Approx 250m (273yds) per 100gm
Recommended needle size - 4.00 - 4.50mm (6-7US)
Tension - 10cm (4”) square = approx 22 sts x 30 rows
Care instructions - Hand wash warm, air dry.

This product has been kettle dyed to create a variegated colourway. This technique can result in colour variances between and within batches which adds to their uniqueness. A small scale approach to the dyeing process results in only three skeins per batch which is why we call the individual skeins fraternal triplets. For this reason, as well as possible variances due to the device or screen you are viewing the images on, consider the images provided as indicative only.
